Registration

**Registration for 2019 is NOW CLOSED. All teams are full.
Check back in February 2020 for next season.

When registering, please read the descriptions of each team carefully including the NIGHTS that they will play and WHERE they will play (Campbellford OR Warkworth). House League differs from Travel. Minibits and Timbits are also different and will play on different nights.
Registration is open until March 31st. Payment in FULL must be received by March 31st or your child will not be put on a team.

When selecting your payment choice "office payment" means you will send a cheque to Box 1941 or bring cash/cheque to one of our walk in registrations (dates to be confirmed asap).

If you are willing to volunteer as a coach/game leader, please tell us on the questionnaire at the time of registering as it saves us begging and pleading in April.
Here is the link. It's like online shopping. Put your item in the basket, check out, pay and voila... your child is registered for summer soccer.

Registration:
The online link for registering your child with the Trent Hill Soccer Club is:

If you are new to our club, you need to start by choosing "Sign Up" in the top right corner. You will create a profile using an email address and password and add your child (player) under your profile. If you registered in person last year, simply enter the email address that you gave us and login. If you forgot your password, you can request a password reset. The system will automatically email you a new password so you can login to register. Each child in your family who played last year, is linked to you and can be found under the “Your Players” section.

**IMPORTANT*** Your child is NOT fully registered until you complete the questionnaire AND receive an order number (it will be order #1050 or higher).

If you need any assistance, please contact us at trenthillssoccer@gmail.com and we will be more than happy to help.

If when you are registering it gets to a point that team sizes are full, and you are placed on a waiting list, it does not mean that your child will not play. I have set the program to limit the registration numbers for each team, in order to monitor them accordingly. I will be regularly checking the system and adding new spots if necessary. If your child is placed on the waiting list, you do not pay until a spot for them is secured. :)

Payment
The cost for playing this year is $60 for Minibits & Timbits, $70 for U7 House League, $90 for House League and $100 for Travel teams. You can choose to pay the following ways:

  1. By credit card at time of online registration through our secure Paypal account
  2. By choosing “Office Payment” and then either mailing us a cheque or meeting us in person at one of our two registration dates at the Aron Cinema in Campbellford (see above).
There will be a strict $40 late fee AFTER March 31st (not including MiniBits & Timbits)

Our mailbox is:
Trent Hills Soccer Club
P.O. Box 1941
Campbellford, ON
K0L 1L0

Most importantly, full payment MUST be received by March 31st in order for your child to play. There will be a $40 late fee after March 31st.  Team sizes are limited and to be fair, if payment is not received your child will be removed from the team list to make room for any players on the waiting list. If you require financial assistance, please consider applying to the JumpStart program through Canadian Tire. There is an application process, so please apply early to avoid any delays.

More information on Jumpstart can be found here:

Volunteers & Coaches
Last year we were very fortunate to have a number of players and teams. This is awesome for our small community, but each of these teams require an adult to step up and lead them. Each year, we inevitably send out an email asking, (begging) for coaches, so if you are willing to help out please let me know at the time of registration or via email. You don’t have to have a vast knowledge of soccer or amazing skills. You simply need a positive attitude and be willing to give some time each week to guide your players through some basic drills and skill development. Those that have tried it out, have assured us that although it may seem daunting at first, it can actually be the most fun and rewarding night of your week.
You will need a valid police check (within the last 2 years) and if you have any questions about this, please ask.

Special Requests
At the time of registration there is an area where you can request for your child to play with someone who you share travel arrangements with or a close relative. Siblings registered at the same level will always be put together unless otherwise stated. As you can imagine, it is a lot of work to juggle requests, balance team numbers and build the teams as fair as possible based on age, gender etc, without knowing a lot of the players. We want your child’s soccer experience to be a positive one and will do our best to fulfill all reasonable requests. However, we are a recreational club and our intent is never to stack a team with more skilled players than any other team. On every team, all players will get equal playing time regardless of skill and because of this, we reserve the right to create the teams the best way we see fit.

*Please note: all requests MUST be made at the time of registration or no later than March 31st in writing to the THSC registrar (carlymckelvie@gmail.com). Once teams lists are finalized and players are registered with the OSA, it becomes very tedious and time consuming to move individuals around. Thank you for understanding. :)

Trent Hills Soccer Club Services Offered
This is a brief outline of the programs offered by the Trent Hills Soccer Club. There are NO TRYOUTS for any level and all players will get equal playing time regardless of ability. Please choose the program that you think will best suit your child.

Mini Bits (2014, 2015, 2016)

This is a skill based program for our littlest players and those wanting /needing more encouragement and attention. The focus of this program will be developing basic skills and socialization while playing fun games and activities. Players will still receive a full uniform like classic Timbit players, but will not be focused on playing a “soccer game” each week. This program runs Monday nights at the Campbellford fields.

Timbits (2014, 2015, 2016)

This program is our “classic” Timbit program with a continued focus on skill development such as passing, dribbling and shooting. There will be short practice from 630-645 and then a 1/2 field game from 645-715. Teams will be smaller to allow for more touches on the ball. This program runs on Tuesday nights at the Campbellford or Warkworth fields.

House League
This division is recommended for players who are new to the game or just wanting to play for fun. Players may not have a high knowledge of the rules and the game. Players are potentially just learning how to make accurate passes, dribble the ball well and/or maintain ball control or be may be well developed in this area. Recreational players are more focused on learning and enjoying the game in a social environment.

U7 (2012, 2013) - Wednesday nights @ 630 in Campbellford
U9 (2010, 2011) - Thursday nights @ 630 in Campbellford
U11 (2008, 2009) - Monday nights @ 630 in Campbellford
U14 (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) - To be Determined

Travel
This division is recommended for players who are seeking “fun” competition against other communities. These players may have some knowledge of the rules and the game. Our travel players DO NOT have to be able to make accurate passes, dribble the ball, and/or maintain ball control HOWEVER should be motivated to learn and dedicated to attending as many practices as possible (1x per week) to help improve their skills.

U8 (2011, 2012) - Thursday nights @ 7 in Campbellford
U10 (2009), 2010 - Wednesday nights @ 7 in Campbellford
U12 (2007, 2008) - Tuesday nights @ 7 in Warkworth
U15 (2004, 2005, 2006) -Night TBD in Warkworth
U18 (2001, 2002, 2003) - Night TBD in Warkworth

More registration information:
1. Due to field availability we offer some programs in Warkworth and some in Campbellford. We CANNOT offer all teams in both. Please read the program descriptions when registering.
2. Teams are based on year of birth. E.g. For this year, Timbits is for players born in 2014, 2015 and 2016. If your child is a 2013, they have to play Under 7 which is for 5 and 6 year olds and is a step up from Timbits but still very low key and all about learning and development. The system is set to offer you team options based on your child's year of birth.
3. If you are accessing Jumpstart funding for your child to play, please do it asap. We have to have the submission number by March 31st in order to secure your child's spot.
4. Finally, my role as registrar for the Trent Hills Soccer Club is a volunteer position and one that I happily do AFTER I work full time all week AND look after my family. I will try my best to answer your questions, emails and messages in a timely manner however you will need to be patient until I get back to you.
